I have spent the better part of the last month finishing this insane game and I am at the end of my rope of sanity. I’ve already finished the first two levels but now the infernal program won’t let me out alive with the last one. It’s a 16×30 field and within all those tiny squares are a hundred hidden bombs I have to evade. And let’s just say even a Blue Whale doesn’t have enough mass to be blown up as many times as I have.
It all started a couple of months ago when I decided to set the goal to play and win all four games on the accessories tab that every computer has. I’m already half done having won at solitaire and hearts and the mine thing is proving to be a whole lot more infuriating than the card games.
It might be worth mentioning that I’ve never read any of the manuals for these games. I’ve had to learn what they were all about by myself as I went along. Like in hearts, the objective was to not get the hearts (it took some more time to figure out what the Queen of Spades did). I’m actually dreading the day that I win at minesweeper because it means I’ll have to play Free cell after that, and that game looks like it was conceptualized by a medieval hippie high on MJ and hash.
